"Sometimes on the way to a dream, you get lost and find a better one" - unknown, but I like it!
Life takes us in different directions sometimes. Even though I didn't always know my direction, everyone keeps telling me that this is where you are meant to be going, it's in the stars. Now I know that.
In Ireland while I soaked up the raw shorelines, the huge skies, the big wind, the rocks, I couldn't help but think about some of the things the girls talked about, they were so wise, like 'nothing is permanent', 'change is good', 'change is the only constant' ...all good thoughts to ponder.
So as I close my gallery/studio in Stephenson this year, my new gallery will open in Door County this spring, I look forward to the next adventure and in my heart I know it will be AMAZING!
While in Ireland, I absorbed the textures and colors of the beautiful countryside. This photo reflects a beautiful beach filled with stones, fossils and the beauty of nature!
The shoreline and waves and landscape was very inspiring! Now as I am back in my Michigan studio working, I see a slight shift or influence into more horizontal lines/shapes, and I can subconsiously understand that it is right there in the imagery from my mind and my travels.
