"Your voice takes you to your heart." - Gabrielle Roth
Finding your 'voice,' your 'art path', your 'style' I have found is a long, enjoyable process. Nothing beats 'putting in your time', working hard in your studio every day.
After about 20 years painting, changing styles to fit my inner feelings along the way, and several times that is, I believe I have found my 'style' that brings complete satisfaction to my creative soul. Don't get me wrong, everyday I go into the studio, I am afraid of that big white canvas, but I tackle it anyway! Don't get me wrong, I don't really 'love' every painting that I complete, but I sure do love the weeks that it took to get the painting to that point...and something eventually does tell me that this is just right! Luckily, and strangely enough, sometimes it is the paintings that I was not truly 'in love with' that are the first to sell anyway! One can never know.
So, as the wind blows and snow falls outside my studio door, I immerse myself into my work and subtle changes and directions sub-consciously occur...and that is so exciting to me!!!!!
'YES...this is what 'scares' me!!! Onward!!!!!!!!!
