"In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks."  - John Muir

Most of my paintings are nature/landscape based and inspired.  I LOVE being outside breathing the fresh air, experiencing the subtle joys of nature.  It is the lakes, forests, skies and everything in-between that resonates with me.  Then when I am back in the studio  happily working, I can pull from memory the thoughts and feelings from the beauty of nature and transpose it into paint on panel.  This is truly a gift.

This weekend I am 'island bound'...headed to beautiful Madeline Island for my opening reception at Bell Street Gallery.  While at the island I plan on observing nature and applying those observations to some new works when I return to the studio.

The life of an artist has many rewards which come after a lot of hard work.   Here's hoping your life is enriched with some subtle joys of nature, too.....

Forest Secrets will be available through Bell St. Gallery, Madeline Island, WI
