"I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order." - John Burroughs

Even though it's a Saturday and most 'working people' may relish this day to sleep in/relax/get house projects done etc.......I, could not keep myself out of the studio today.  I think it is this brilliant sunshine that is streaming through the studio window telling me today is a great day, take advantage of it!

The last couple weeks, I have been working on my 'January projects' which include photographing and inventorying new works, organizing studio space, working on a new power point presentation for my demo at Artisan in Santa Fe in March, updating my bio/statement as well as teaching a  few workshops and getting down and dirty painting...(yes, I ruin a lot of clothes!)

I have been fortunate enough to hit a 'good groove' with my work and I like to keep the momentum going once I get in that groove...so this morning I shall paint then this afternoon I shall play!

What do you have planned for your weekend...anything creative?  Enjoy!

This painting is titled "Early morning" and is 36x40".
