"When your work speaks for itself, don't interrupt." - Henry J. Kaiser
I've always kept a journal, and within the last couple years there have been many journals, with no rhyme or reason to my random thoughts, images etc. But it is these journals that I go back to time and time again when I'm stuck, when I'm flustered and when I'm just to busy to 'focus'. These journals somehow, give me some inspiration and reason to focus again.
This morning I finished up some colorful pieces and now I am ready to start some new works - in black and white. I've been reading some Ansel Adams books and not only is his work amazing, but it is amazing how I can internally feel his colors possibly working their way back into my work. I don't know. Sometimes I get these feelings but when it comes right to it they don't surface.
So, with that thought, one final quote: "Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase." - Martin Luther King I'm anxious to get back to work . . . we'll see where this takes me.
